Regardless of what you've read online about how often you need to submit, it is in your interest to read the submission guidelines for each search engine so you know what not to do.

So-called search engine submission services and related software both became web dinosaurs when Google arrived in our language. But just don't take our word for it ...here is the Google Trends data over the past four years.

Food for thought as you ponder a $299p.a. Yahoo directory listing or consider submission to DMOZ. Given the number of bogus directories online, many of which rely on an Adsense income, this could finally signal the end of generic directories.

Here are some helpful submission links. Remember...submit your home page once to avoid a spamming penalty. It may take a month or longer before the site search reveals some of your pages, so be patient it will happen.
